Back to the boat and get the lunch on board. Then sail to Edfu with afternoon tea time, get your dinner and enjoy with the disco party and take overnight in Edfu.

After breakfast, you will visit the Edfu temple located 123 km north of Aswan on the West Bank of the Nile. It dates back to the Ptolemaic Period and was dedicated to the worship of god. It is one of the most beautiful Egyptian temples distinguished by its huge splendid structure that blends Paranoiac and Greek architecture. Its grandeur competes with Luxor temples and is the second largest temple after Karnak temples. You will then proceed to Kom Ombo Temple located in Kom Ombo town, 45km north of Aswan. This temple was built on a hillside overlooking the Nile, and was constructed in the Ptolemaic roman era for the worship of two god’s, Horus to the right and Sobek to the left, that why the temple has two corridors and two sanctuaries as opposed to other temples which have one corridor and one sanctuary. You will then sail to Aswan as you enjoy dinner and the Galabeya party on board. Overnight in Aswan

After breakfast, you will leave for an excursion tour to Aswan where you will discover one of the most important cities in Egypt starting at the with High Dam, an engineering miracle constructed in 1960 to protect Egypt from the annual Nile floods, which is also an important source of water and electricity. You will then head to the Philae Temple of Goddess ISIS, one of the greatest temples in Egypt which occupies about a quarter of the island and has huge complete pylons and beautiful surroundings. You will visit the Unfinished Obelisk which shows the techniques used by the ancient Egyptians to cut obelisks. It is believed that this obelisk belonged to Queen Hatshepsut, one of the rulers of the 18th Dynasty and the royal wife of King Tuthmosis II. She also had a temple on the west bank of Luxor. You will return to the boat for lunch then in the afternoon, you will enjoy a sailing expedition on the Nile by the Felucca around Elephantine Island then onward to visit the Kitchener’s Botanical Gardens known for its rich array of subtropical, exotic, and rare plants and Elephantine island which is the largest island of Aswan area. Elephantine is Greek for elephant and it is believed that the island got this name because it was a major ivory trading center. You will then be driven back to the boat to have dinner and overnight Aswan.

Check out, and store luggage at the boat till departure time. You will then depart on a 3-hour drive from Aswan to Abu Simbel via air condition van. Upon arrival, you will see the Colossi Temple of Abu Simbel initially built by King Ramses II and recently saved from inundation of the Nile waters. The most spectacular aspect of this temple is its setting on the solid rock above the banks of the Nile River. After breakfast Exquisite Egypt’s Egyptology guide will meet you at the hotel from where you will board a private air-conditioned vehicle for a drive to discover the beauty of Alexandria and the Greco Roman civilization. You will first get to visit the Catacombs of Kom El-Shouqafa, the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt, with three tiers of tombs that could accommodate up to 300 corpses. It was converted to be a public cemetery. You will proceed to the Pillar of Pompey, composed of a single block approximately 25m of red granite column from Aswan. it was once a magnificent structure rivalling the Soma and the Caesareum. You will then move to the Roman Theatre which was discovered after over 30 years of excavation. Here you will get to see many things left behind by the Romans which include this well-preserved theatre with galleries, sections of mosaic-flooring, and marble seats for up to 800 spectators. After lunch, you will get to see the Qaitbay Citadel from outside, considered one of the most important defensive strong holds not only in Egypt but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast and is located where the light house once stood. Your last stop of our tour will be the Library of Alexandria, the largest most significant library of the ancient world, located where the old library of Alexandria once stood. After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel. After lunch in a local restaurant, you will move on to The Citadel of Saladin Al Ayouby, built by Saladin in 1176 to fortify Egypt from crusaders. It is now a complex of three mosques and four museums like the Mosque of Sultan El Nasser Mohamed “The Mosque with the Green Dome”, and the Great Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha, one of the major landmarks of Cairo which occupies a huge space, has beautifully decorated walls, as well as remarkable domes and minarets.
